Will ragi cause constipation?

ExpertDr. Pandurang sawantPaediatrician7 years agoA. Yes Ragi can cause constipation Give it in adequate quantity. Constipation is quite common in babys less than 1yrs of age No need to worry for that Give tummy times frequently in a day time Feed ur baby as per demand Burp properly at least 10 min or till baby take 4 burp Keep a watch on urine output Baby should pass minimum urine 6-8 times per day If baby is feeling discomfort and crying exessively then Need to do rectal stimulation, apply some drops of oil over motion area It will help If doesn't work then Need rectal enema for which u need to visit ur nearest pediatrician once

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children7 years agoA. Ragi doesn't cause constipation to every baby. But yes some babies may get constipated. When u r giving fibre rich foods you have to give adequate amount of fluids to avoid constipation.
