Will pinching my child's nose make it pointed?

Harkirtan KaurMom of a 11 yr 7 m old girl9 years agoA. Baby's nose is one of the first features to be formed during our pregnancy. Nose is shaped during the first 5-8 weeks of pregnancy. Many infants are born with oddly shaped nose due to the pressure caused during delivery. Doctors advise NOT TO massage the face of the child initially. Massage only the body. A baby's features are slowly formulated with age.

RakhiMom of a 13 yr 1 m old girl9 years agoA. If we are to believe the traditional maalishwalis yes it helps. However, it's not pinching but slightly pressing the nose towards outside to give a shape to it. Bones at young age are quite soft and it's easy to mold them hence its suggested that this should be done in initial days after the birth. Hope this helps
