A. mucus in the stool is very common phenomenon. it is usually present due to the throat mucus / thick saliva as well as respiratory secretions which pass on from respiratory tract (parts of nasal cavity , oral cavity and throat) to the gastrointestinal tract by swallowing and then comes out through the anal canal mixed with the stool. it may be present in less quantity duringf regular times and would be in more quantity during allergy as well as cough and cold in the child. mucus in the stool is also associated with gastrointestinal infections as a less constipation as well as indigestionf. treatment is usually given according to the cause

A. It could be due to a stomach infection because mucus into the motion of the child can be quite an indication for that which is why it is suggested that you kindly check with your doctor they’ll help you with proper mitigation required
