A. There's no need to force them into the bath if they're upset. Instead, you can help your child feel safe by being gentle. Your hand or a face washer on your child's tummy or chest can help them feel secure in the bath. This also keeps their temperature even and keeps them warm.Bathe only when fed and well-rested.Try a bath pillow.Transition gradually to the baby tub.Forget the tub for now.Distract your baby with songs and conversation.Mind the air and water temperature.Try a shower.Stick to a routine. You may be able to help reduce hair loss from friction by giving your baby more tummy time — but always put them to sleep on their backs until they turn 1 and they can reliably roll over (from back to stomach and stomach to back) by themselves.
