why my 4 month baby is not burping while he is sleeping?

A. It is common for a 4-month-old baby to not burp while sleeping because their body is more relaxed, making it harder to release trapped air. If your baby feeds while drowsy or in a lying position, they may swallow less air, reducing the need to burp. However, if your baby seems uncomfortable, gassy, or fussy after feeding, try holding them upright for a few minutes or gently patting their back. If they don’t burp but are sleeping peacefully, there’s usually no need to worry, as some babies naturally pass gas instead of burping.
