Q.

Why my 2 months old is drinking milk properly instead he chose to sleep. Is it normal?? He also cries very badly while urinating and when consulted doctors they say it’s normal. I was not able to differentiate whether he is crying for milk or to urinate?

A. you have to give only demand feeding to the child that is whenever the child feels hungry you can give milk to the child and the child will take the milk according to the need and then will leave the milk. if the child is taking more milk you can offer milk in more quantity with intermittent burping . there is no need to to go for fixed feeding pattern. also there is no need to wake up the child from sleep if the weight of the child is within normal limits . also if the weight gain of the child every month is normal then no need to worry regarding the pattern of breastfeeding straining while passing urine and stool is very normal before completion of 6 months of age. sometimes this can continue for one year of age also. it usually occurs due to the distention of the urinary bladder and rectum of the child. the sensation is new for the child that's why the child is cryingd if you feel that the crying is more than normal you should visit a pediatrician for examination. d
