why is it important to shave my baby head once??

Amrita RaoMom of 2 children8 years agoA. Shaving head has no contribution to hair growth, its more of a cultural thing rather than biological. Hair growth and quality depends upon genetics and the right kind of nutrition given to the baby. The reason we observe thicker hair after mundan is because the root which is generally thicker comes out first its similar to men shaving their beard or women shaving body hair. Infact my family is also forcing for mundan of my baby am just going to do it coz it has no harm and also in this hot weather baby will feel more comfortable. Just make sure you maintain proper hygiene during the process.

Ishita PMom of a 12 yr 2 m old boy8 years agoA. plus all the water that trickles down the head and neck and spine improves immunity. and yes i agree, my son initially had a very light growth. right after shaving, i saw marked difference in his hair quality, density etc
