POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. Newborns often sleep with their mouth open if they are experiencing severe or chronic congestion. Accumulated mucus can block the nose and force them to breathe through their mouth. This can happen during summer when the air makes the mucus in the nostril dry. It can also occur due to an illness or allergy.
