meet dr for this.
it is important to follow the instructions opinion advice and medicines course given by your doctor for the problem .
they are safe if given by registered medical practitioner. do not take medicines not prescribed by the doctor .
take a follow up in few days if it is not improving for need of treatment modification or any lab / radiological investigations.

Maybe the medicine is helping your child in whatever issue you are controlling with the medication and as you stop giving the issue gets aggravated and your child starts being more irritable I think you need to find a permanent solution to the issue check with your doctor regarding this
