you can start with rice water, dal water, porridge, homemade cerelac, smashed banana, chikko, potato, fruit puree, vegetables puree, clear veg soup, etc.
slowly introduce any new food and check signs for intolerance, allergy or discomfort
gradually increase consistency and quantity of food as per baby's appetite.
feed on regular intervals after 2 hours
maintain good hygiene
avoid force feeding and overfeeding.
Chitradevi PMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Hi Mom, A six month old baby is primarily breastfeed or formula fed. However, solid food can be introduced for breakfast or lunch. Introduce only one fruit or vegetable and feed it to your baby for atleast three days. If she responsds well and does not show any signs of allergy, then you can continue with that fruit or vegetable and also try other foods.
