Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. they are fontanelle and usually they will close by maximum 18 months of age and only sometimes by 2 years of age.
they are normally present in all infants and is important for the development growth of the brain
it is important to see that the child is not suffering from calcium and vitamin d deficiency as well as the child is not having any other complaints ybecause their deficiency is the common cause of delayed closure of fontanelle.
AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Babies tries to control head by the age of 4 months. Please massage baby with BabyHug coconut oil. Also use Sebamed soap to bathe the baby. Use a good brand moisturiser like BabyHug moisturiser or MamaEarth moisturiser for the baby. Also use a good brand sunscreen lotion for the baby.
Thanks and take care
