Which Milk Is Good For Baby Of 9 Months Lactogen OR Cows MILK

A. Undoubtedly breastmilk is only advisable. Feed frequently day and night to improve the milk production. Breastmilk has growth factors, anti infective properties which is not present in formula or cow's milk. Most importantly cow's milk has more amount of casein a type of protein that forms a thick indigestible curd in infants. Babies kidneys are immature to handle this amount of protein and to wash out the metabolic products. Formulas on the other hand contains sugar. Try to increase the frequency of solids instead of giving other forms of milk. If you have already started giving curd and if your baby is tolerating then that would be enough. Remaining times you can breastfeed. If you have problems with low milk supply please consult a LC.

A. you can give breast milk or formula milk till one year and after completing one year you can start giving cow milk to your baby
