I would personally suggest not to use pump just to relieve engorgement. you may buy a pump ( any brand Phillips/ pigeon, etc.) for days when you need to go out or are unwell..then someone else at home can feed the baby with expressed milk. good luck!

Bhumika SharmaMom of a 5 yr 9 m old girl5 years agoA. general advice i got from elders- please keep in mind more you pump, more milk will be produced. better use a manual milk saver pump. body takes time to regulate supply according to baby's demand. for the first 2-3 months, you may experience leakage and engorgement, which is pretty common for new moms. hot compression is recommended for engorgement.
