which is the best medicine I can give for cough who is 15months and 2.7yrs both of my kids have cough and cold....

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evalguation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is rthere paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

instead of it ,I would suggest to give mixture of honey and ginger in one tsp quantity twice in a day
keep your kids well hydrated
give luke warm water to drink
apply Babyhug rapid relief rub on chest and back of your child
give indirect steam
