WHO and UNICEF recommend that babies be fed nothing but breast milk for their first 6 months, do continue exclusive breast feeding till 6 month of age

No you cannot start doing anything to your five months old baby you have to wait till your baby turned six months old then only you can start giving solids and water to your baby. Till the time baby should be totally on mother‘s milk and there is no need to give anything else
