1. Fruits and vegetables: Offer a variety of fruits and vegetables as they are packed with vitamins, minerals, and fiber. You can serve them cooked, pureed, or mashed for easy consumption.
2. Whole grains: Whole grains like oats, quinoa, and brown rice provide carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. Offer them soft or cooked until your baby's teeth develop.
3. Protein sources: Babies need protein for growth and development. Good options include soft-cooked eggs, nut butters, pureed legumes, chicken, fish, and beef. Avoid honey and cow's milk until one year of age.
4. Dairy products: Continue breastfeeding or formula-feeding, and you can introduce pasteurized cheese and yogurt for calcium.
5. Healthy fats: Fats such as avocados, lentils and salmon, can help with brain development and growth.
Make sure to introduce one food at a time and wait a few days to ensure the baby tolerates it and is not allergic. It's important to consult with a pediatrician if there are any concerns about your baby's diet.
