A. pump out milk before feeding baby. if there is still not much milk then u will have to make changes in ur diet n have to get ur baby latch more on breast. consult lactation experts if below steps don't yield result:
- eat raw papaya, masoor dal, sabudana kheer daily
- have good food don't skip or reduce meal qty.
- take at least 5 to 6 ltr water. just before feeding or extracting must take atleast 1 glass water
- whenever possible get baby 5o latch on breast n suckle for long as possible
- take good rest before pumping or feeding.stay stress free as it reduces milk supply
- u can have satavari daily to yield more milk.

A. I have used Phillips avent electric pump which is easy to use, fast milk extraction, the breast massaging unit provides comfort and also assists in the milk to come in and let down. Since lactation is hormonal phenomenon, no matter which brand of pump you use make it a habit for your baby to suckle daily else the flow reduces and it becomes difficult for milk extraction.

A. Its doesnot matter whichever brand you use... if its not coming u have to wait and do check if its fitted properly.. sometimes it comes after half an hour also.. you can use heating pad on your breasts.. take a warm shower.. then relax and keep heating pad on breast and then put the pump on.. think about the baby or look at him if he or she is there and wait... if it doesnot come.. keep doing this for few days after some hours... the milk will come.. its just the patience it counts.. we do the same here in Canada... all d best!! also, u can use pumping bra or breastfeeding bra for attaching the pump.

A. Do breastfeed your baby continously.Breast milk flow usually become less when you donot breastfeed your baby continuously, uses tin milk or in your diet you donot take proper diet and milk..Start drinking 3 to 4 glasses of milk in a day..Make a habit to train your baby to suck your nipples otherwise it is very easy to use tin and other milk which in turn can creates other stomach problems in baby...which could be very horrible..

A. if you want to increase your milk supply you can go for hospital grade double breast pump like Medela symphony. you can rent that too..as they are very costly... and if you want to just pump and store breastmilk you can go for any... Philip's avent single breast pump is good with low cost compared to others.

A. Philips avent is the best manual pump..I have been using it for a month now. Am very happy with the results. At first for few hours or days you may find manual pumps bit tough and tiring but trust me they are best as compared to electric ones.If your need and want and usage is much more go for electric ones else go for Manual Pump that too only Philips avent.Once you get used to it, you can easily pump milk and store it for 6-7 hours in normal room temp and for more hours you can put in the refrig. for 24 hours(not in door)if in case you haven't bought the bottle you will get the Philips avent bottle (which is the best bottle for babies) also along with it.
