which cereals is better to my baby girl for the first tym, fruit cereal or rice??

A. right ce rice starting with moong dal is good as it is easy to digest. you can dry roast other dals with rice and store as home made cerelac. also introduce fruits, boiled veggies in your baby's diet. also continue breastfeeding.   banana, apple, avoid citrus fruits. potato, sweet potato, carrot, bottle gourd, red pumpkin all boiled and mashed.

A. rice can be constipating at the beginning. You can start with fruits purees or mashed. You can give vegetables either steamed or boiled and mashed. Apple, banana, chickoo, avocado, sweet potato, ragi, potatoes, papaya, are great options to start with . You can also give Dal rice slightly overcooked. khichdi, daliya, oats etc. Add ghee and butter into the baby's diet. At the beginning one meal a day is fine and you can increase it with another meal gradually. offer few sips of water after every meal to maintain oral hygiene.

A. Hii Dear.. Good evening !! Follw this You can start with simple purees and waters. These are easy digesting foods for baby tummy..like carrot, potato, banana and waters like rice or dal water. Then second week you can continue with other purees or combination of two fruits veggies, the third week you can give instant homemade rice cereal. Slowly you can add a veggie or fruit to the rice cereal this would give a different taste. Ensure to give a fruit and vegetable everyday. That will not lead to constipation.
