ExpertDr.Rasika ThosarPaediatric Intensivist8 years agoA. you will be able to differentiate slowly between actual feeding and comfort sucking. feeding - watch for jaw movements, swallowing sounds, movements, frequency of suckling slow initially, faster as baby reaches hindmilk. comfort sucking is superficial, babies are usually sleeping that time, frequency remains the same. easy to unlatch. so unlatch when he is doing that. hope this helps.

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children8 years agoA. This is normal. He may be trying to pacify while seeing you. But try to distract him. If ur baby is feeding well then you can feed him in two hours gap that should be enough. He should be peeing anywhere between six to ten times a day (even more in winter) which means he is taking feeds properly.

AartiMom of a 9 yr 10 m old boy8 years agoA. its very obvious as babies get calm when they feed even if they are not hungry and your baby is only a.month old...so this is normal now....as a baby is.most close to his mother...but all these habits will subside in few months when he grows
