whenever I give cough syrup to my 1 year baby after sometimes he starts vomiting and his cough worsen...what could be the reason

Madam actually the cough is so much intact into the truth of the child that sometimes despite of taking the medicine it comes out in the vomit that means a congestion is very severe so along with the medication please apply or massage back and chest with warm mustard oil with rock salt and do hot compress along with a nebula will help in reducing the congestion
