Q.

when we feed a formula for the baby and the amount of milk should be taken by him is done can we give him a gap of 6hrs .

A. that's up to you when you want to give external milk. you have to give only demand feeding to the child that is whenever the child feels hungry you can give milk to the child and the child will take the milk according to the need and then will leave the milk. if the child is taking more milk you can offer milk in more quantity with intermittent burping . there is no need to to go for fixed feeding pattern. also there is no need to wake up the child from sleep if the weight of the child is within normal limits . also if the weight gain of the child every month is normal(more than 600gm/ month) then no need to worry regarding the pattern of breastfeeding / milk intake

A. This is difficult to say as it could be the similar amount of milk that your child is going to have after six hour maybe 10 ML or 20 ML model that depending upon the hunger appetite and need of the body of your child
