Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. neck holding of the child should be present by 4 months to maximum 5 months of age.
regular massage of the back as well as the neck will help in strengthening the muscles of this area.
if neck holding and head holding is not proper by the end of 5 months it is important to meet the doctor for examination to find the cause of delayed milestones
sometimes rolling over can come after 4-5 months so no need to worry for that and it is not necessary that it should come early. many times the weight of the child is more and that also delays the rolling.
if if the growth and weight of the child is within normal limits then no need to worry about it. just carry out regular massage and proper diet and the child will be fine in next few monthse

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy2 years agoA. Babies start rolling over as early as 4 months old. They will rock from side to side, a motion that is the foundation for rolling over. They may also roll over from tummy to back. At 6 months old, babies will typically roll over in both directions.
