Q.
when children suddenly both comes fever and cough then what can I do ?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. your history tells us that the child is suffering from viral fever and in viral fever you have to give only symptomatic treatment that is for fever have to give paracetamol(max 4 times per day if needed) and plenty of water to drink and at least 60 to 70% of the regular diet and if the fever continues beyond 3 days then meet the doctor this can occur due to either allergy or infection and some times due to weather changes and temperature variations around the child. for cold you can give syp maxtra 2.5 ml to the child 2 times per day. try to prevent temperature variations around the child and give nasal saline drops every three hourly for nasal blockage and simple cough and cold. indirect steam will also help. go for home remedies like tulsi ginger diluted with water combination and turmeric with milk at least 2 times per day. give warm water to drink if no improvement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor for fever and pain give paracetamol

Do Cold sponging on the entire body to reduce down the temperature and for cough you can nebulise your child you can make some jaggery and ginger juice together and that is what also you can give to the child since honey is not recommended under the age of one year
