when can we start adding salt to the baby? family says start after 6,mnths is it good or not,? which salt is good for babies?

A. Not a good idea . A baby’s salt requirement per day is less than 1 g per day like only 0.4g of sodium and this is mostly met by the breastmilk or formula. So any extra salt will be a burden on the tiny kidneys and the kidney’s will not be able to function properly due to the excessive load. This may lead to kidney disease
