when can babys start to eat egg ,chicken and fish? Can I give cows milk ?

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician7 years agoA. it is best not to give your baby cow, buffalo , goat milk or any kind of milk until they are at least one year old. Eggs whites are one of the big allergy-triggering foods, so you should avoid introducing them to your baby until 12 months, though you can try egg yolks at around 9 months. For fish wait till your baby is little older than a year. Start when your baby is 13 or 14 months old. However, keep in mind that you need to introduce fish and chicken in form soup first, than steamed, Boiled later..It is better to start with fish and then move to poultry.

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist7 years agoA. you can give eggs and other non veg food to your baby from 8th month onwards. give little amount in beginning and see how baby tolerates it. you can give any pasteurized top milk to your baby but instead of giving only as milk which reduces the appetite for other food use milk to prepare recipes like porridge, Kheer and give as milk products like curd, paneer.

SantoMom of a 8 yr 8 m old girl7 years agoA. Post eight months Try to give yolk first for few weeks. You can even use little water or milk to mash the yolk and feed baby. Later after few weeks you can give white or one whole egg. Any animal milk should be given only after a year. Animal milk is not good for your baby’s tummy. It contains a high sodium content and very low iron content.Further, the proteins present in it aren’t easily digestible.
