one should ensure that the child should get a proper balanced diet which contains all types of nutrients essential for growth.
any kind of infectiocn specially any chronic infection should be ruled out agnd treated which may hamper the growth otherwise.
after 2 years of age you can give some powder like kids Pro/ prohance junior mix in milk twice a day for one or two months.
Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children4 years agoA. You can give banana, potatoes, sweet potatoes and continue feeding breastmilk or formula. You can add homemade ghee in babys regular meals. You can also give warm rice mixed with curd. All these could help weight gain.Afyer one year of age, You can add full cream cows milk, eggs, meat if non vegetarian, and all diary products like butter, curd, ghee, cheese, paneer etc. Add dry fruits and nuts like almonds, pistachios, cashew, walnut, fig, dates in the child's regular diet. They will help to increase weight.
