A. Hi, My son has milk allergy so what i can tell you from my experience is that some kids are allergic to milk and milk products and it is generally called as cow milk protien allergy. In this case you are not supposed to give the baby any product which contains even minute amount of milk else the baby will show allergic reactions in some time. Lactose intolerance is that the baby is not able to digest the lactose in milk which causes colic like symptoms with diarrhoea and vomiting. In this case you can still give baby milk and products which are made of either soya or casien. The child will accept it. There is a test to know if the child is having allergy which is done to check the immunoglobuline level in blood. If you doubt your child of having an allergy please consult an allergian specialist immediately.
