Show to a doctor for right and timely diagnosis and treatment. Thays a safe procedure.To increase weight you must add high energy foods like eggs paneer , soya , ghee in rice , khichdi etc.this will boost him ok.

Well What were you saying that your child is having a slow growth is it in terms of a body or wait or anything if you feel that your child is lagging in something your child is the sum lacking in some vitamin or anything then you should get a check with your doctor because the doctor can only tell you what is the reason behind it
