what medicine should I prefer for dry cough?? My baby is 7 months and severely had cough... I already consult a doctor but could not get better

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever ifs theret paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Sai Prasanthi R LMom of a 11 yr 8 m old boy3 years agoA. Hello dear parent! Complete the course of medication as prescribed by your doctor. Try giving indirect steam inhalation. Regularly massage your baby with Babyhug cold pressed coconut oil. If the problem persists then consult your doctor for further advice. Good luck and take care.
