Q.

What is the vaccination schedule for PCV / Pneumococcal vaccine? In private hospital it’s given at 6, 10 and 14 weeks of a baby but in govt. Hospitals it’s given only at 6th and 14th weeks ? Please guide doctors… thank u

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule and you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programme is provided by the government to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before as per the schedule then also you should give this vaccine on the the pulse polio day as this is an adbditional vaccinjke. For polio vaccine dates and related query you need to contact your local authorities .
