it is very important to give iron supplements to the child because the diet before 1 year of age is having very less amount of iron and it is very common that if the child is not given iron supplements the child will suffer from iron deficiency anaemia so better to continue iron supplements given by your doctor.
brand of iron medicine and dosage will be given as per child's requirement

Looking more like a supplement plus you’ll have to check with your doctor for what purpose have they suggested you to give this supplement to the child as different supplements can be given for different reason so it’s always good to crosscheck with your doctor for better clarity
