Q.

What is the reason of frequent hiccups in kids... My baby is 3.6 year old and once in 10 to 15 days she get hiccups 3 to 4 times a day. Also she sometimes get hiccups when she laugh alot. Please help.

A. not at all.. if it's very frequent and disturbing her regular activities then you can seek doctors advice, but as you mentioned it's not quite often so don't worry

A. hiccups are caused due to sudden unpredictable tightening of the diaphragm, which may occurs during a laughing..

A. hi.. hiccups occur because when an individual swallows large amount of air like while eating or laughing, that air goes inside and irritates the diaphragm and causes hiccups. its normal.. allow it to settle on its own
