A. Hi! Pcv stands for pneumococcal conjugate vaccine. Two brands widely used currently named synflorix and prevanar 13. Cost of single dose synflorix around 1500rs and prevanar 13 around 4000rs. Prevanar 13 gives protection against more serotype as compared to synflorix. 3 doses of pcv recommended at 6, 10 and 14 weeks followed by booster dose at 1.5 year of age. thanks.
