what is tepid sponging

A. For tepid sponge bathing during fever use luke warm water. The water temperature should be around 80 to 90 degree Fahrenheit. Do not use cold water. Wipe the baby's face, arms, legs, feet, palms, body and back. Keep a small cloth dipped in water under both the arm pits and forehead. Remove it when the cloth turns hot. Continue this for fifteen to twenty minutes. Stop it whenever u think the child shivers.
