Q.

What is pneumococcal vaccine? as per government vaccination it's two dose and as per private it's three dose. what do you suggest? also can each dose be different company/brand?

A. Pneumoccocal vaccine should be given at 6,10, 14 wks and booster at 15 months of age  Pneumoccocal vaccine is a optional vaccine but always better to give.  It give protection against  Repeated tonsills infection, repeat sinus infection, throat infection, pneumonia, ear infection etc  Can go with any brand all are equally good and effective.   e

A. The primary series of PCV13 or PCV15 consists of 3 doses routinely given at 2, 4, and 6 months of age.
