ExpertDr Arti SharmaPaediatrician8 years agoA. It is inflammation of meninges caused by viruses, bacteria or parasites. Infection is spread through blood to the meninges. It causes high fever, vomiting, signs of raised intracranial pressure. It should be treated as soon as diagnosed otherwise can lead to shortterm as well as longterm complications.
