ExpertDr Priyanka KalraObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. better to go slow n give rice or cereal or banana. the baby needs a balance diet with protein, carbs, fats abd fibre. no need of fancy foods ok. see there will be lots of brands trying to impress you. but you try to stick to one brand and not fancy items ok. see your pocket too.

Once your baby turned six months old then you can start giving solids and water to your baby. In starting few days give everything in a fluids form like Dal Ka Paani, rice water, vegetable soup, fruit puree. And with a time you can increase the food item in babies regular diet plan.
