A. hi dear While all children may grow at a different rate, the following indicates the average for 1-year-old boys and girls: Weight: average gain of about 8 ounces each month, birthweight has tripled by the end of the first year. Height: average growth of about 1/4 to 1/2 inch each month.Foods like potato, pumpkin, sweet potato, dal, ghee, ragi, almonds, yogurt, eggs and milk help the baby to gain weight. Please take a pediatricians' suggestion before you start any of these foods
