Colic in babies may be considered when baby is crying for more than 2 to 3 hours with no other specific reason and in a high pitched cry with arching of the body and flushed face. There could be many causes for colic in babies like gerd immature digestive system allergies ingulping of aur while feeding and lactose intolerance. Mothers diet and lifestyle can also be a major factor. Management cbfould be in form of medicines like probiotics digestive enzymes antiflatulence and some home remedies. Avoidance of formula milk cow's milk . Cycling manuvours to relieve gas massage and proper burping after each feeding is also helpful .

That’s what I can tell you right now it’s very common with kids at this age which is why the doctor say that kids can cry quite often than usual.
