ExpertDr. Pandurang sawantPaediatrician7 years agoA. Exessive cry is very common under 6 months of age bcz of gas in stomach Exclusive breast feed ur baby till 6months of age. Feed ur baby with proper position. Burp properly after each and every feed for at least 10 min or till baby take 4 burp. Give Tummy time 4-5 times in a day time If still issue persist then Give colic aid drops 0.5 ml (if needed). Maximum 4times per day.

For gas and other stomach related issues if baby is above 1 month follow these simple steps Do paddling exercise (can be done if umbilical cord has fallen Massage on the stomach 15 min prior to feeding the baby Apply hing paste and give hot compress (lukewarm which u can feel on ur cheeks) on the stomach of ur baby ( make sure u maintain a gap of 1 hour between feeding) Put baby on stomach and massage gently on the back of ur baby from top to bottom ( do not do it up to 1 hrs of feeding)
