we noticed pus near ambulical cord for our 6 days old baby girl. plz suggest whether we need to consult a doctor or ointment is enough for this.

A. Hi mom Yes ointment is enough or u can apply neosporin powder on the umbilical cord to dry up the pus coming out. If no improvement then consult your doctor for the same as he will prescribe medicine after the proper evaluation of the baby
