A. Ascoril LS Junior Syrup is commonly used for cough with mucus (wet cough) as it helps loosen and clear phlegm. However, before giving any medication, especially on vacation where medical help may be limited, consider the following: 1. Type of Cough If it's a wet cough (with mucus): Ascoril LS Junior may help. If it's a dry cough: Ascoril may not be needed, and a simple cough syrup or home remedies may work better. 2. Dosage & Precautions The usual dose depends on age and weight. If you have given it before, follow the same dosage. Avoid overdosing or giving if unsure about the cough type. Ensure no allergic reactions to the syrup ingredients. 3. Home Remedies Before Medication Warm water with honey (for kids above 1 year). Turmeric milk (haldi doodh). Steam inhalation (helps loosen mucus). Keep him hydrated and avoid cold foods. If the cough persists, gets worse, or is accompanied by fever or breathing difficulty, consult a doctor immediately.
