Q.
vanakkam doctor, my baby is 2 months old... my breast milk is not enough for her so doctor advised me to give dexolac hi-kal formula milk for her... her birth weight is 3.2 kg, after 2 months her weight is 3.83 kg...doctor pls suggest me formula fed is safe or not... what can i do now..

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. baby is not gaining weight properly it is always advisable to give the milk to the baby only from Mother afterwards it is insufficient you can do sum formula milk .

yes you may offer it.
but as mother's milk is best food for a child
try to offer plenty of breastfeeds.
it help to increase breastmilk also.
mother can also take leptadin tablet or shatavary granular with warm milk for this.
