A. A full-term pregnancy typically lasts about 9 months, or around 40 weeks, from the first day of the last menstrual period (LMP). Babies are considered full-term if they are born between 37 and 42 weeks of pregnancy. If a baby is born before 37 weeks, it is considered preterm, and if the baby is born after 42 weeks, it is considered post-term. Most pregnancies naturally result in labor between 37 and 42 weeks.
