Q.

Today my daughter is suffering from fever,she has temperature of 100.4,I have been using crosin but temperature is not coming down.....can any pediatrician suggest what needs to be done

A. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children. But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out . Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging wvith lukewarm water is also helpful . Doctoxr consultfation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

Crocin DS That could be given to the child that is a stronger doors and you can go ahead with it according to the current weight of your child this is going to be helpful at all so you should start with cold sponging on the body of your child that will help in reducing out the fever over the period
