today My baby has got her immunization under the slot of 16 months- 24 months (including DPT ) now she does not has fever but suffering from can I gave her PCM as pain reliever pls also suggest same medicine/remedy for swelling on thigh area where vaccine is injected. regards.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever . Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks . Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if nfeeded . Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever. Adequate fcluid intake is also beneficial. Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

Sai Prasanthi R LMom of a 12 yr 2 m old boy4 years agoA. Hello dear parent! Paracetamol will work for both pain and fever, if any. Try giving a light cold compress on the swelling. Continue feeding your baby well on demand. Regularly massage your baby with Babyhug cold pressed coconut oil. Good luck and take care.
