Q.
Today my baby girl is 2 month old ..from yesterday she is not breastfeeding well and whenever I try to feed her she started crying badly and not latching on breast..she also sleep 6-7 hours without feeding when I try to give feed in sleep she is not opening her mouth and started crying..is this ok to not feed 6-7 hours?? She is drowsy whenever I try to feed her..what is the reason she is doing like this please suggest

Fouzia RumanaMom of 3 children1 Year agoA. when there is a nose block,cold they will have pain in ears because of eustachian tube gets blocked,so during feeding they wont be able to breathe as nose is blocked,give nasal saline drops before feeding and check no.of wet nappies as sometimes baby may go in dehydration state if not fed properly

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. your child is having colic which is causing such behaviour.
colic is quite common in children before 6 months of age.
the usually start after 3 weeks of age.
you can give drops gastica or colicaid to the child 0.5 ml if the child is crying for more than 15 to 20 minutes due to colic pain.
limb cycling movements as well as tumxmy time will help.
to prevent colic pain kindly do burping for 15 to 20 minutes xafter every feed and do not keep the child back on the bed after 1 burping because all the gas is not removed after one burping.
