Weaning food can be started from 5-6 months of age and in that initially in the stage 1 you can introduce some semi solid food to the baby like Banana mango plum boiled Apple and then gradually you can start with some Puri of carrot potato other foods which can be given are porridge of suji e sabudyana cgan be prepared in breast milk or formula milk.
initially you can start with one or two tsp which can be gradually increased up till at least three meals in a day

Once your baby completes 6 months you can start giving your baby semi solids like homemade cerelac, ragi, mashed bananas, apple purée, daal or chaaval paani in small quantities to check the suitability and for better digestion. Give sips of water in between meals. Continue breastfeeding.
