A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if requiredc like ibuprofven and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

A. Hello dear parent! Give the next dosage with a gap of 6 hours after the initial dose. Try giving a light sponge bath to reduce the intensity of the fever. Maintain a good personal hygiene. If there is persistent discomfort in your child then consult your child’s doctor for further assistance.
