A. Medium and large VSDs often result in noticeable symptoms such as fast breathing, tiring easily, poor feeding, and failure to gain weight and grow properly. These signs typically indicate that the VSD will not close by itself. In this case, your doctor may recommend heart surgery to fix the hole.
